Vivat Jesus!

February turned out to be a busy month for the Council. There was our Corporate Communion & Membership BLITZ, the D of I Card Party, the 4th Degree Texas Hold-Em, a First Degree Exemplification and the start of our Lenten Fish Fry's. Try to give our Fish Fry Chair people a hand and offer to work at some of the dinners.
The next two months will also have a number of planned events. The 4th Degree will be holding it's second Texas Hold-Em starting on Sunday March the 11th. Remember some of the money from this event comes back to the Council to help maintain our building and grounds. Please contact Russ Kreinbring and offer to work these events. The 4th Degree has been helping us, so let’s help them.
On Monday March 19th we will once again host Clergy Night. This year we will be sponsoring a seminarian. Contact Russ or Paula Kreinbring no later than March the 4th for your tickets.
Starting March 30th, 31st and April 1, we will be conducting our 36th Annual MI Drive. (Tootsie Roll). Our Deputy Grand Knight Ken Warzybok will coordinate the event. There will be additional information from him in this newsletter. Please give him a hand and see if we can beat last year’s sales. There will be a sign up sheet in the Club Room for you to pick your time, date and location.
I would also appreciate it if the Ladies of the D of I who assisted me the last two years could give Ken a hand. In the past they were instrumental in counting the days receipts and providing snacks for those working the streets.
After our February 8th General Meeting we had our second Incentive Drawing. The number drawn was #80. If David Cieszkowski had been present he would have gone home with $50.00. The winner if present at the March General Meeting will take home $75.00
Please if you have a problem with something related to the Council do not grumble and stew about it. We all have our opinions but if we work together we can reach some common ground. I have told you before you can always contact me at 586-779-0787 and I will attempt to resolve the problem along with my fellow officers.
Thanks, Your Fraternal Brother and Grand Knight - TOM
